Netflix’s One Piece Season 2 gets a release date: Vivi takes the spotlight

Netflix says One Piece: Into the Grand Line is set to premiere on March 10, 2026. It also confirmed Charithra Chandran as Nefertari Vivi, which makes any talk about Chandran “replacing” a major Season 2 character feel premature, since viewers still haven’t seen the season.

Vivi, who also goes by Miss Wednesday, is a key Alabasta and Baroque Works character in Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece series. She comes across less like a swap and more like the kind of arc-specific lead this stretch of the story calls for, especially with the Straw Hats still led by Iñaki Godoy, Emily Rudd, Mackenyu, Jacob Romero, and Taz Skylar.

Netflix says it’s also bringing in more than 30 additional actors. That group includes Lera Abova as Nico Robin, Mikaela Hoover as Chopper’s voice, Joe Manganiello as Crocodile, David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3, Callum Kerr as Smoker, and Katey Sagal as Dr. Kureha.

If you follow One Piece, Vivi’s role says a lot. She’s a determined royal and a strategist, and she gives viewers a more grounded counterpoint to Monkey D. Luffy’s carefree style. Netflix also says it’s developing The One Piece with Wit Studio, with Mayumi Tanaka returning as Luffy’s Japanese voice.

You’ll be able to watch the live-action season on Netflix.
